Each year alums volunteer to help support the College by engaging with classmates, sharing exciting news and educating them on the importance of giving.
In less than two years, this effort resulted in 79 new scholarship endowments, additions to 21 existing scholarship endowments and a permanent Student Safety Net Fund.
Nearly two centuries ago, Mary Lyon had the bold vision that women could do anything when given access to education. Mary ignited the spark that transformed higher education, but she could not do it alone.
Against staggering societal and logistical barriers, she found a community of supporters who shared her forward-looking views on educational equity, and together they transformed higher education — and the world.

The same legacy of giving that helped open the doors of the Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê Female Seminary in 1837 sustains and propels the College to this day. At this year’s Senior Symposium, over 100 Õý°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê College seniors presented their research, capstones and independent coursework.
